Drake Howard Property has let car workshops at Rowley Drive to Karl Vella Group following a comprehensive refurbishment project.

The property was previously occupied by Nationwide Crash Repair Centres who went into Administration. Disposal of possessions, plant and equipment and lease cars presented challenges at a time of drawing up the works specification.

A budget close to £100,000 was committed to the project including a new roof covering to the high bay workshop and was completed by April. The property attracted good demand as works neared completion and by August, the deal with the north-west based motor group had been concluded.

A new 15-year lease was granted for a 12% uplift on the headline rent. An impressive turnaround from the depths of a failed tenancy to adding to asset rental and capital value.
